Most “invalid PIN” errors are field swaps: serial in the PIN box, index in the serial box, or a letter O typed as zero. Slow down.
Payments happen on Ewale (ewalepay.com or *714*22#), not on this blog.
What you need
- The Ewale SMS.
- The index number on the candidate’s admission papers.
- WAEC’s official checking page for that exam.
The flow on *714*22#
- Copy serial exactly, including leading zeros.
- Copy PIN exactly.
- Enter the index number in the index field only.
- Submit once. If it fails, re-read the fields before buying another voucher.
After you pay
Ewale support cannot reset a PIN you already successfully used on WAEC. They can help if you never received serial and PIN after a real debit.
If something fails
- Lookalike website: Stop. You may have given the voucher away. Use WAEC’s published address.
- Spaces and hyphens: Type only the characters in the SMS.
Match labels to SMS fields. Buy a second checker only after you are sure the first voucher never worked.
