The Ewale telco menu splits airtime and data because operators settle them as different products. A successful airtime debit will not switch on a monthly bundle.
Payments happen on Ewale (ewalepay.com or *714*22#), not on this blog.
What you need
- A decision before you dial: credit or bundle.
- The destination number and its real network.
The flow on *714*22#
- Dial *714*22#.
- If you want talk-time or general credit, open Airtime.
- If you want internet, open Data bundles.
- Finish one flow. Do not jump to the other mid-session.
After you pay
If you bought airtime by accident, use that credit as airtime. Buy data as a second, separate payment only if you still need a bundle.
If something fails
- Vendor confusion: Shop agents sometimes sell “data” from airtime menus. Ewale will not auto-convert.
- Repeating to “fix” it: A second debit is a second product, not a correction.
Read the menu title before the amount. That title is what you are buying.
