SMS is the receipt, not the airtime itself. Networks sometimes credit the line before the text lands — or the text lands in a full inbox. Buying a second pack “just in case” creates two credits.
Payments happen on Ewale (ewalepay.com or *714*22#), not on this blog.
What you need
- The MoMo history row for the debit.
- Access to the destination phone’s balance USSD.
- The reference if you contact support.
The flow on *714*22#
- Do not dial *714*22# to buy again yet.
- Check the destination airtime balance.
- Check SMS and the SIM inbox.
- If the balance did not move after a fair wait, use Ewale support from the USSD menu or email walletewale@gmail.com with the reference.
After you pay
Support can trace a completed debit. They cannot un-send a second successful top-up you made while waiting.
If something fails
- Wrong destination: The credit is on the number you confirmed. That is not a missing SMS.
- Roaming or no signal: SMS may queue. Balance USSD is the better check when the phone has coverage.
One debit, one credit. Prove the first sale failed before you start a second.
