Purchasing the checker and viewing the result are two steps. Ewale’s step works offline. WAEC’s website usually needs data or a computer lab. Do not confuse those steps.
Payments happen on Ewale (ewalepay.com or *714*22#), not on this blog.
What you need
- A GSM phone for *714*22#.
- A later plan to use the voucher — school ICT lab, a shop with a PC, or a smartphone with data.
The flow on *714*22#
- Buy on USSD. Save serial and PIN on paper.
- When you have a browser, open WAEC’s official checker.
- Enter index, serial, and PIN.
After you pay
A paper copy of the voucher survives a stolen or dead phone. The SMS alone is fragile on a shared handset.
If something fails
- No data to check results: The voucher is still valid. Find a browser. Do not buy a second Ewale voucher for that reason alone.
- App-only rumours: Ewale USSD is enough to purchase. Apps are optional.
Buy offline. Check when you have a screen. That is the whole design.
