GOtv is not DSTV. The identifier is usually the IUC number on the decoder. Using a DSTV smartcard on the GOtv row will fail or pay the wrong product.
Payments happen on Ewale (ewalepay.com or *714*22#), not on this blog.
What you need
- The IUC / decoder number on the GOtv box.
- Wallet balance for the package shown on confirmation.
The flow on *714*22#
- Dial *714*22#.
- Open TV Bills → GOtv.
- Enter the IUC. Confirm any name or number preview.
- Select the package the menu lists. Approve once.
After you pay
Keep the decoder on. GOtv restore time is similar to DSTV: minutes, not always seconds. SMS is the receipt.
Packages
Menus may list Lite, Value, Plus, Max, Supa, or similar. Prices change. Trust the amount on the confirmation screen, not a blog memory of last year’s price.
If something fails
- Used DSTV menu: Cancel if you have not approved PIN. After PIN, you paid DSTV.
- Expired IUC mix-up: Photo the back of this decoder today, not last year’s box.
IUC in the GOtv row. One approval. Then wait on the decoder.
