USSD screens disappear. Browser tabs close. SMS stays — until someone deletes it. For prepaid tokens and result checkers, the SMS is not only proof; it is the payload.
Payments happen on Ewale (ewalepay.com or *714*22#), not on this blog.
What you need
- An inbox with space.
- A habit of screenshotting tokens and serials.
The flow on *714*22#
- Complete the payment.
- Open SMS before you do anything else.
- Store the reference, token, or serial off the phone if the device is shared.
After you pay
Support will ask for the reference. A memory of “I paid around 4 p.m.” is weaker than the SMS.
If something fails
- No SMS, debit present: Use support with the wallet reference. Do not assume the product failed until they say so — and do not repurchase in the meantime.
- Forwarded SMS got cropped: Ask for the original. Missing digits break tokens and PINs.
If it arrived by SMS, treat that message as the official copy.
